Eurovoyage: Part One

Steph and I arrived in Spain today after 13 hours in transit.  It's the coldest winter Europe has seen in a long time, but it still beats the heck out of the Canadian winter (suckers!).  We're pretty low on sleep, but high on life, Spain is beautiful!!!  Our hostel is amazing and in the heart of Barcelona.  We've spent a little bit of time wandering around (getting lost), and the city has proved itself lovely and welcoming.
We'll go early to bed tonight as we have a lot to do tomorrow, including trying to retrieve the two art cannisters we left at the airport (durrr), shopping for boots for Steph, and finding a place to live!  Already we're overcome with how great Barcelona is: we may stay in the country for more time than originally anticipated.  Artmaking will commence shortly as well, maybe after a bit more people-watching.
Thanks so much for the well-wishes from everyone and your continued support of this expedition.  Check back soon for updates and photos.
Ciao!

  4. Cousin Gen, I sure hope it isn't 40 deg. there like it was when I was in July; that would be just too warm for you :P You are probably wishing you were here to enjoy the -13 deg (windchill) day in NS, heh! Enjoy Barcelona and be careful...the locals are quite sly! Take care, Emily xo
